Witch Hazel - Hamamelis x intermedia Zone 5-8

During summer months, witch hazel may look like a normal plant but it will have you under its spell in the winter months. Cold, freezing weather actually causes this shrub to bloom from winter to early spring. Orange clusters of "spider" like flowers cover older branches heavily with newer growth having fewer flowers.

Plant near pathways or patios to enjoy the smell of the flowers. A moderate grower that can reach 10-15' tall and wide. Water deeply during the first year to establish.
