Plant of the Week: Hardy Hibiscus

Vintage wine hardy hibiscus Zone 4-9

The song, "Red, Red Wine" might start playing in your head as you look at the beautiful 7" blooms on this hibiscus. The overlapping, slightly wrinkled blooms have it all, texture, beautiful color, and roundness that make this shrub stand out from the rest. This hardy hibiscus can withstand the cold winter nights in Santa Fe and have you thinking of somewhere tropical during its blooming months in the summer.

Plant in full sun for best growth and water regularly. A slow grower that can reach 4' tall and 5' wide. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
