Plant of the Week: Mexican Elderberry

Mexican Elderberry Sambucus Mexicana Zone 7-10

Beautiful white, flat clusters of white flowers appear in early spring. Once the blooms are spent, blackish-purple berries appear that are loved by birds, and can be used for culinary purposes. A fast grower that can quickly reach 30' tall x 20' wide.

Water regularly until established. Plant in full sun for best growth. Prefers well-drained soil.
