Question of the Week 01/23/2021
Q: Why do your workers disconnect my hoses from the house during the winter?
A: Hoses need to be disconnected and drained when not being used during the winter months. If a hose is left connected to a faucet and freeze occurs, the expanding water can crack the faucet inside of the house.
This will result in water damage within your walls and a costly call to a plumber. It is also a good idea to drain the hose after use to prevent water from freezing inside the hose, which will clog and be unusable until the hose thaws.
