Q: How often should I touch up my bark?

A: It really depends on how you want your yard to look. Bark is beautiful but the color can fade fast whether it is dyed or natural colored. If you touch up your bark every year it will keep your yard looking very nice! Just keep in mind that you don't want the bark too high around the base of your plants. After several years of touch-ups, it is a good idea to take out some of the bark before you put more on top to prevent the layer of bark from getting too thick!
