Question of the Week: Broken Branches

Q: The wind snapped a branch on my tree - is it going to die?

A; It depends on how much of the branch actually broke. We have seen Pinion trees have branches that snap in half and live, but we have also seen some die.

Try and support it with a 2x4 to hold it up and wrap it with some tree wrap. Keep an eye on it and if it starts to brown there is a good chance you may have to cut the branch off.
