Question of the Week: Evaluating Tree Damage
Q: With the heavy snowfall, some of my Juniper branches broke. What’s the best thing for the health of the tree? Remove branches to lighten it and stabilize it or remove the broken limb altogether?
Thanks for any tips!
A: Removing only the damaged branches may be sufficient. However, if the broken branches significantly affect the tree's appearance, you might consider removing the entire tree. Additionally, if the tree is partially uprooted, it may be worthwhile to attempt straightening it before making a final decision on removal.
