Q: My home just got built and my backyard is just dirt. I want to gravel the entire yard but don’t have enough money to gravel it at this point. How can I cover the dirt so it isn't as messy?

A: One helpful tip we recommend is to lay down a weed barrier to cover the area before adding gravel to your yard. This is a necessary step to prevent any unwanted weed growth, and it won't create any extra work that needs to be removed later.

When you're ready to add gravel, simply purchase the type you want, spread it evenly over the weed barrier, and you're good to go! Just make sure to use plenty of fabric pins to secure the weed barrier in place and prevent it from blowing away.
