Q: My flagstone patio has changed colors. It looks darker than when I got first got it and it has black spots on it. Is there any way I can clean it?

A: Yes you can clean your flagstone patio!

Just be careful and know that there is a chance you can flake off some layers of the flagstone (aka spalling). If you want your flagstone to look almost brand new, power washing your patio will make a huge difference. It will remove most of the dirt and will help brighten up the natural colors of the flagstone.

Use a wide fan attachment to minimize the chance of damage. But also note, there is a chance you can also damage your patio with the pressure from the power washer.
