Transformation Tuesday: A Vibrant, Low-Maintenance Yard Makeover

Our client already had a landscaped yard but felt it lacked the vibrant energy they envisioned. The aged bark and juniper left the space feeling a bit dull, and they wanted something fresh and colorful without increasing the maintenance workload.

That’s where we came in!

We started by clearing out the old plants and bark, and carefully setting aside the existing flagstone for reuse. The goal was to create a space that would pop with color and be easy to care for. We chose Pueblo Rose gravel for its soft, warm tones that beautifully contrast with the light stucco walls. By pairing the gravel with xeric plants and hardy cacti, we achieved a lush look with minimal watering or maintenance.

To complete the transformation, we added a river rock basin to manage runoff from the canale and prevent erosion. Soft pathway lighting was installed to create a peaceful, illuminated vibe in the evenings. The flagstone steps were reinstalled, tying it all together.

Now, this yard feels like a breath of fresh air—vibrant, inviting, and oh-so-easy to maintain!
