Transformation Tuesday: Mud-Free Sidewalk Solution: Transforming a Muddy Access Area into a Stunning

This area served as side access to both the front and back yards. The client's primary concern was the constant problem of mud accumulating on the sidewalk during the rainy seasons. To address this issue, we utilized landscape blocks to create a small retaining wall. As shown in the photo, we took care not to raise the dirt level above the tree's root flare, which could lead to bark deterioration and eventually kill the trees.

Next, we laid down a weed barrier and spread a layer of 1-2" round River Rock along the pathway. Finally, we applied the 3/8" Pueblo Rose near the house, completing the transformation of this area.
