Sometimes, all it takes is a little vision and the right plants to turn a simple space into something truly special. This transformation started with a blank canvas—a gravel-covered area that needed definition and life.
To create a more inviting and structured look, we added a natural moss rock border, framing the space while maintaining its organic feel. Karl Foerster grasses were introduced for their graceful movement, adding height and texture that shift beautifully with the seasons. Anchoring the design is a stunning Montgomery Blue Spruce, providing a striking focal point with its silvery-blue needles.
To ensure year-round interest, we incorporated Hicks Yew alongside a selection of perennials, offering a mix of greenery and seasonal color. With irrigation installed for efficiency and a final layer of bark mulch to retain moisture and keep everything looking polished, the space now feels complete—lush, intentional, and low-maintenance.
From a basic gravel lot to a thoughtfully designed xeriscape, this project proves that a little planning and the right details can bring a space to life.
What do you think of the transformation?
