One of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to address a heavily eroded area is to fill it with dirt or gravel. Keep in mind, though, that this is a temporary solution and may be washed away by the next heavy rainfall.

Long-Term Solutions

For a more durable approach, consider incorporating landscape design elements to reduce and prevent erosion:

Retaining Walls: Constructing a retaining wall can be highly effective in leveling out an area and mitigating erosion. Options include moss rock, landscape rock, or railroad ties. Proper installation is crucial; an inadequately built wall may collapse during intense rainstorms.
